Requirements
Experience
24 months of acute care experience within the past 3 years.
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience within the past 3 years.
Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Required Skills/Experience: Must have experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area (3 or above).

Skills: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atherectomy, Atrial Septal defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Femoral Cannulation, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery, Mitral valve replacement, PDA, Pericardial window, TAVR (Transaortic Valve Replacement), Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, CVOR, General OR, Trauma, Lobe resection, Mediastinoscopy, Thoracotomy, VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery), level 1 or sim size hospitals.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience, Trauma Level I Experience

Skills: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Amputations, Gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries), MAZE Procedure, Heart, Lung.

Unit/Facility Details: Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite

Shift & Scheduling: Day/Evening, Monday - Friday

Typical shifts 0630-1900 with a potential of one of those shifts to be 0940-2210.

Weekday call and weekend call responsibilities.

Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: every 4-5th weekend starting on Friday to Monday morning call

Floating Requirements: The traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs. During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit to complete contract.
