Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
46 months of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a California license

Additional Details:

Hard-Stops: No Travel Pairs

Weekend Coverage: Every Third

Experience: Level III experience

Scrub Color: Royal Blue or Navy blue

Peds RNs: Peds friendly top and royal or navy blue bottom

Parking Cost: Free Parking

Orientation Hours: 24

Patient Age Groups: Neonates

Daily Census: 3-6

Special Procedures/Unit Details: 27 weeks and above in NICU, all ages at delivery for stabilization and transfer if under 27 weeks. Deliveries that qualify for NICU assistance-high risk, preterm, mec, etc.

RTO must be listed at time of submission.

Holidays: traveler must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Return Staff Policy: 3 months to return as traveler

Housing: Please have your traveler look into housing options in the area, as options may be limited

Government-Issued Photo ID required

BLS must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation ONLY.
