12 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required from any number of months.
BSN completion preferred

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.

Perinatal Services - Required

  • Required:
  • RN who can take all phases of care from:
  • Triage
  • Antepartum
  • Labor
  • Postpartum
  • Neonatal Care

Must be comfortable stabilizing babies

Graduate of School of Nursing

One-year labor experience required or completed extended orientation period, up to a year, meeting all expectations for no labor experience.

A nurse with no labor experience can be hired by the Perinatal nurse manager based on current preceptor/orientation availability.

BFHI (Baby-Friendly) Lactation Education required or within 6 months of hire

Must be able to understand, read, and write English clearly

This position includes tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.

  • Patient Population:
  • Neonate: Birth to 27 days of age
  • Pediatric: 28 days of age to 13th birthday
  • Adult: 13 years of age to 65 years of age
  • Geriatric: >65 years of age

No daily direct patient care contact

  • Requirement For Submission:
  • Each submission must have an Northern Inyo coversheet
  • If you do not have a copy of the cover sheet please request from PMO team
