Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Skills: Trach chare, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucommander, insulin drips, heparin drips, drips to titrate to HR NOT BP; Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills for Level 1 Trauma Hospital; IV insertion and care, central line management; Wound care and post op monitoring; Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation; Care coordination with interdisciplinary teams; Discharge planning and patient education, particularly on renal and fluid management
Required Credentials:
- BCR (Basic Cardiac Rythm)
- ASN/BSN
Preferred Credentials: National certification - Medical-Surgical certification.
Unit/Facility Details: Parking: Free? Have free parking around campus or can pay to park in parking decks
Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekend Rotation: 6 shifts on a 6 week schedule (6 out of 12 shifts)
- Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
Floating Requirements: All adult med surg / telemetry units in house.
