Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: IV start skills. Labor & delivery (L&D) experience. Telemetry interpretation is required.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. Must pass an EKG exam prior to start.

Special Requests: Cannot apply to any Ohio State University facilities if you have an active application to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities.

Unit Details: Inpatient postpartum unit providing family-centered care to women and infants. Adult and neonatal patient population. Cares for postpartum patients after vaginal delivery and C-section, postpartum readmits for wound infection and preeclampsia, healthy newborns, and NAS infants. Staffing ratios are typically 3-4 dyads (6-8 patients).

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: May float to units with similar acuity. MSC (antepartum-team nursing) - will be required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed.

Parking Options for Travelers WMC Agency Permit – $215/month Guaranteed parking in an OSUWMC visitor garage. Best option for travelers who want the closest and most reliable parking. CXS Permit – $31.42/month Includes shuttle service every 15–30 minutes, but service is limited. The route has multiple stops and drops off about a street over from OSUWMC. Best suited for Jameson Crane Sports Medicine. Also includes access to 9th Ave Garages (East and West) on weekends and holidays. WB Permit – $15.67/month Most affordable option. Parking is in West Campus Carmack Lots 2 and 3, about 1.7 miles from OSUWMC. The Pink shuttle runs every 3–5 minutes during peak start/end times and goes directly to the medical center in about 8–9 minutes. Also includes access to 9th Ave Garages (East and West) on weekends and holidays. Weekend access is from Friday at 2 PM through Monday at 8 AM; outside those hours, regular hourly garage rates apply.
