Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.

BSN completion preferred

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Required Skills/Experience:

• High risk L&D - Must have high risk experience

• Circulate, FHM, preceptor and/or charge

• Labor and Delivery Management, Assist with high risk delivery, Circulate for C-section, Work Settings, High Risk Antepartum, Fetal Monitoring, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Antepartum Care and Procedures

Preferred Skills/Experience: Triage experience; Triage of obstetrical patients

Required Credentials:

• Drivers License/State ID: Government issued photo ID. A valid driver's license will be required if driving on behalf of MedStar Health is an essential function of the job.

• References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend required.

• Every other holiday required.

• Call required - 36hrs in 6 weeks or 12 hrs per pay-period (must be on premises within 45 mins of receiving call)

Floating Requirements: Float required within skillset - Mom/Baby, postpartum, etc.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
