Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience within the past 12 months.

Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Additional Details:

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Unit/Facility Details: Medical and Pediatrics (Medical and Pediatrics – travelers do not take Peds patients). The major conditions/most frequent diagnoses treated: Adults - respiratory illnesses, stroke, other neurological conditions (such as seizure disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, chronic back pain), gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, other infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal.

Special Requests: Can submit with a block scheduling request - The facility will always try and honor, but never guarantee.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and every other holiday

Floating Requirements: Float to all inpatient units as needed
