Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 12 months of Step Down Unit experience.

Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Neuro Stepdown

Candidates who have 2+ years of experience, 3 days or less RTO and who can start on date posted in the position can be auto-offered.

Required Credentials:

• Fingerprinting process must begin within 48 hours of offer acceptance.

• All RNs will be required to take and pass a “pre assignment Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm Strip) test and RNs should be prepared, passing score is 80%.

Preferred Credentials: TB, ASLS

Shift & Scheduling:

• will take 12/17, 12/31 or 1/14 starts

• Will be working a 3-1-3 schedule or 6 on/8 off schedule and this will be provided to them upon the beginning of their contract.

• Holiday requirement: Travelers will have to work Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and New Years Eve or New Years Day.

• Will work weekends and holidays as needed.

• No on call.

• NMMC needs complete availability and flexibility with scheduling.

Floating Requirements: Travelers will float to other Stepdown within the hospital.
