References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Monday - Friday

On Call: Call every other week Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 1530-2200 and Saturday 0800-1600

Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday

Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Special Procedures: Interventional - tunneled catheter placements (mediports, permacaths, hickmans), embolization's, drain placements, suprapubic catheter placements, peg placements, pleurx catheter placements

Pain- epidural blocks, radiofrequency ablations

Vascular- angiograms, thrombectomies, fistulograms, IVC filters

Skill Required: Interventional Radiology, PACS, Angioplasty, Embolization, Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter placement, Liver Biopsy, Mesenteric Angiogram, Paracentesis, Stent placement, Thoracentesis, Catheter/drain exchange, Internal/external biliary drainage, Renal Artery Stent Placement, Ureteral Stent Placement, Carotid Angiography, Discogram, Embolization, Stent placement, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy, Angioplasty, Carotid Stenting, Dialysis Graft interventions (fistulograms/declots), Endovascular Interventions, Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy, Central Venous Access (non-Tunneled/PICC lines), Siemens, Accurate monitoring, Equipment set up, Perform EKG lead placement, Prep access site, Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, Scrub - maintain sterile field, GE/Philips azurion C-arm/portable C arm /contrast

Skills Preferred: Computed tomography, Ultrasound, IV starts

Certifications: Fluoro Permit

Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics

Special Procedures/Unit Details: We do cases in CT and Xray, but they will not float there.

Scrub for IR, vascular, and pain procedures.

They need to be able to work the Philips azurion C arm and the portable C arm

No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.

Address must match DL when determining local status

Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
