Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 22 months of Intermediate Care Unit experience.
3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 3 charge/lead references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

All RNs (all specialties) must have NIHSS & EHAC within last 12 months. Certs can be obtained during onboarding.

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years experience in specialty required • O2 protocol management. • Non-invasive airway management. • Peripheral line care/management. • Isolation precaution/PPE. • Computerized documentation. • Rapid response team activation.

IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Respiratory, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Neurological/Psychiatric, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Gastrointestinal, Feeding tube care and management, Medications, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Work Settings, MS/Tele, Cardiovascular, Post MI, Plastics, Surgical drains, and Orthopedics, Total Joint Replacements.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Accessing/Managing Ports*, Tracheostomy care/management*, Heparin Protocols*, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration*, PCA*, Interpretation of dysrhythmias*, Management of dysrhythmias*, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring*, Telemetry- remote monitoring*, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams*, IV insulin protocols*, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown*, and Telemetry*. Teaching Hospital Experience. Community Hospital Experience.

Unit/Facility Details: We do not contract staff residing in the following counties : Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris.

Special Requirements: Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request. Number of Beds: 50.
