Required Skills/Experience: Need to be able to circulate and transition babies as well as labor.
IV therapy/phlebotomy, administration of blood and blood products, drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, use of infusion pumps/drips/IV monitoring, antepartum, labor and delivery, LDRP, antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), terbutaline, APGAR scores, baby nurse (“baby catcher”), ID/security banding, radiant warmers/thermoregulation, assist with high-risk delivery, assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for C-section, recover C-section, sterile vaginal exam, assist with sterile speculum exam, NST (non-stress tests), reflex checks/edema assessment/clonus, triage of obstetrical patients, use of EFM (external fetal monitoring), breastfeeding support/lactation support, Foley catheter insertion/management, fundus/lochia/perineum care, postpartum care of cesarean section, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, vaginal delivery, epidural anesthesia, general anesthesia, pain assessment and management, use of PCA (IV), infant identification, isolation precautions/PPE, vaccine administration, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, use of external fetal monitoring, use of internal fetal monitoring, use of IUPC placement and calibration.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
High-risk antepartum*, insulin drips*, forceps/vacuum extraction*, hemorrhage/shock*, telemetry interpretation*.
Unit/Facility Details: Facility births/month 200–300
Tdap declinations are not accepted at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Special Requests: RTO required with submission, expect to work some holidays
Shift & Scheduling: January start date preferred
Will consider a minimum of 13 weeks
Floating Requirements: RN will rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, transition (no post-partum)
