Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

3 months of travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

Must have at least 12 months of Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit experience.

ASN completion required

Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months

3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

PALS (Required)

ACLS (Preferred)

Vaccinations

COVID vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Flu vaccination required. Declinations not accepted.

Required Skills/Experience:

12 - 18 months in high acuity cardiac PICU required.

High acuity cardiac PICU with open heart, heart transplants, and open chests.

Preferred Skills/Experience: 2 years experience

Required Credentials: Flu Vaccine: Please include on profile

Preferred Credentials: BSN

Special Requests: An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Shift & Scheduling:

No on call

Every other weekend rotation

Holidays: rotate every other

Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where the unit is closed and orientation week.

Floating Requirements: float to NICU and PICU as needed
