Travel Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Unit

Additional Details:

Shift & Scheduling: Scheduling by manager or scheduler; no self scheduling. No on call requirements. Every other weekend is required. Holidays required, as needed.

Preferred Skills/Experience: BMT Transplant experience preferred.

Required Credentials:

• MUST PASS FIT TEST (no facial hair unless for religious beliefs).
• Nicotine free campus. Must test negative

Preferred Credentials: Biotherapy Provider is preferred

Floating Requirements: -Traveler are first to float -Floating is required to other pediatric units.

Types of Patients on Unit: Patient population: fever, neutropenia, chemotherapy admission, solid tumor, sarcoma, leukemia, chronic pain crisis, new diagnoses, palliative. Age range of patient population is 0-21 years.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: IV Meds: Blood transfusion, Antibiotics, Stem Cell, IV fluids Types of Pediatric Surgery: resections, ports, etc. Average length of patient stay: general med-surg patients: overnight – 1 month

Equipment: bar code scanning, pharmacy dose Respiratory available for support.
