Additional Details:

If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations. (Nursing positions only). RTO must be listed at time of submission.

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

Perm candidates of any OTHER providence facility ( NON SWEDISH ) are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All Swedish facilities honor active compact license.

Patient diagnoses: Stroke, TIA, NCCU step-down, post neurosurgery, CHF, chest pain, post cardiac procedures EP Lab, Interventional, Pre/Post Procedural

Special Procedure:

  • Post cardiac cath care including radial bands and groin sites
  • NIHSS assessment for stroke
  • Breathing Treatments, Chest Tube Set-up/Care, CPAP/BiPap, Trach Care
  • Blood/Blood Products Administration
  • Cardioversion / Defibrillation
  • Drains, Feeding Tubes, Fistula, PCA Pumps
  • PICC/Central Lines, Syringe Pumps, Triple Lumen Catheter
  • Wound Vac

Special equipment: REQUIRED: Stable drips, Dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Dobutamine, Heparin, Insulin, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin

Floating: All travelers are expected to float to another unit within their scop of practice if needed. The facility has a designated float team that floats first however, in the event there is a need at another campus travelers will float first before perm staff.

All facilities are within a 40-mile radius or less. In the event that the traveler needs to float, it their responsibility to find transportation to the facility they’re floated to. Traveler’s refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.

REFERENCES - Extremely important to have on file prior to submittal. MUST COVER 1 YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT within the last 3 years. The year does not have to be consecutive. Client will not give clearance without full year of references on file.

BLS and ACLS must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation ONLY.
