Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Ambulatory Clinic experience.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from any number of months in order to be considered for this role

Preferred Skills/Experience: AED (Automated External Defibrillator), Arrhythmia interpretation, Cardiac Arrest/CPR, Chest pain, Hypertension, Altered Level of Consciousness, Apply splints, Fractures/Dislocation, Sprains/Strains, Asthma/Reactive airway disease, Burns, Croup, Ear infection, Fever, COVID, Oxygen administration, Ear irrigation, Foreign body, Ectopic Pregnancy, Pelvic exam, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, Placenta Abruptio/Previa, Pregnancy induced hypertension, Spontaneous Abortion, Urogenics, Vaginal bleeding, Foley catheter insertion/management, Hearing screening, Height/Weight, Interpretation of laboratory results, Mask Fit Testing, Medication reconciliation, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Pain assessment, Patient Health Questionnaire/History/Allergies, Pulse Oximetry, Vision testing.

Unit/Facility Details:

• Parking Cost: Limited parking at Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (JTDC) (A shuttle runs every 15 minutes between Stroger and JTDC). Alternative options: Stroger Hospital Parking Garage or Metered Street Parking. Public Transit highly recommended.

• Proof of Identification: Drivers License/State ID

Special Requests:

• No RTO the day prior or after a holiday. No RTO on weekends. If the traveler calls out on a holiday, the facility can cancel their contract.

• You must start on the start date specified for this job.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Monday to Friday

• Weekend Coverage: Every Third

Floating Requirements:

• Cook has the ability to request that any clinician float outside of their “home” facility as long as the floating does not exceed 50 miles. Travelers may receive notification to float 2 hours before their shift. If your clinician refuses to float, they will be subject to cancelation. There are no home units. Your clinician could be floated to a variety of units, including outside of their primary area of competency. If they are floated outside of their primary competency, the team-based model will be used.

• Do not apply if you are not willing to meet the possible floating obligation.
