Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have 2 years overall experience, and 1 of those years full-time experience in a large hospital PICU (strongly prefer level 1 pediatric trauma center)
- Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oral/nasal Suctioning, Pulmonary Hygiene, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy care/management, Pediatric Critical Care, Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, Nitric Oxide (iNO), Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Tobramycin, Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, MDI, Nebulizer (Cold, Hand held, T-piece, Trach collar), Bag and mask, ET Tube, HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP, High frequency oscillator, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, Oscillating Ventilator, Pressure/Volume Ventilator, Interpretation of ABGs, Chest Physiotherapy: Vest, Chest Physiotherapy.
- Must be willing to care for both high and low acuity PICU patients.
- HARD STOP VENTILATOR REQUIREMENTS- must have experience with Hamilton Ventilators. If unable to verify experience with Hamilton vents- please conditional pass (ONLY if they meet ALL other requirements.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Prefers close to 2 year's experience.
- Teaching Hospital Experience
- Nasal airway placement*.

Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekend Coverage: Every Other
- Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: Could be asked to work additional weekends- will be scheduled based on unit needs.
Floating Requirements:
- Float Required: CTICU, NICU, H8A (pulmonary), Core (general/ED)
- Floating is a requirement for most positions and a point of emphasis for Nationwide, travelers must be prepared to float to different units depending on the assignment.
