Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities. Exceptions include: Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS
Required Skills/Experience:
Must have L&D experience, as they will be primarily in L&D. NICU, 2 years minimum experience required
Must have Children's Hospital experience within the last 3 years; Open to travelers whose experience is a level 1 adult facility
NICU or PICU experience required. Home unit of NICU, PICU, or Peds will be assigned once at the facility but can be changed based on the need of the facility.
Medication Delivery Systems, Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI), Medication Administration, Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Mucomyst, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Tobramycin, Xopenex, Ventilator Management, CPAP, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation, Neonatal/Pediatrics - Equipment/procedures, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, Airway Management Devices/Suctioning, Extubation, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Tracheostomy care/management, Nebulizer, Hand held, T-piece, Trach collar, Professional Knowledge and Skills, Work Settings, NICU
Preferred Skills/Experience: Bicarbonate, Inhaled Flolan, Ketamine, Nitric Oxide (INo), Perforomist, Terbutaline Sulfate, Theophylline, Heated, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Pediatrics
Required Credentials: Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA.
Shift & Scheduling: 3x12's or 4x12's D/N. Every Other Weekend required.
Floating Requirements: PICU and some Peds Acute Care
