Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Adult critical care experience required.
- Airway Management Devices/Suctioning required: Endotracheal tube/suctioning, Extubation, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal/suctioning, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy/suctioning.
- Medication Administration required: Albuterol, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled steroids, Lidocaine, Nitric Oxide (iNO), Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Xopenex.
- Medication Delivery Systems required: Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Metered dose inhaler.
- Nebulizer required: Hand held, T-piece, Trach collar, Ultrasonic.
- Oxygen Therapy required: High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC).
- Ventilator Management required: BiPAP, CPAP, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation.
- ABG interpretation required.
- Skills: Adult Critical Care, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI), Atrovent, Combivent, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Oral/nasal Suctioning, Tracheostomy care/management
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Teaching hospital experience preferred.
- Trauma Level I Experience
Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekend requirement: Every third.
Floating Requirements:
- All travelers will float within service line, including affiliate hospitals nearby.
