Special Requests: Previous travelers that have worked at Bassett for 1 year must take a 9 month break before returning as a traveler.

Required Skills/Experience: Strong technical competency in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and coagulation.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Minimum of 4 years of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience preferred. Microbiology experience preferred. Experience in high-volume laboratory environments strongly preferred.

Unit Details: Core laboratory bench work focused on chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and coagulation. Limited exposure to rapid molecular testing may be included. Blood Bank experience is not required for this position. No routine phlebotomy requirements. Evening shift technologists work independently for most of the shift. Fast-paced, high-volume laboratory; chemistry volume may reach or exceed 1,000 samples per day Monday through Friday, and hematology and urinalysis volumes are approximately 500 samples per day. Instrumentation includes Beckman DXC700AU, Beckman DXI, Abbott Architect, DXA, DXU 840, AX 4030, Sysmex XN, ACL TOPS, and Abbott ID NOW.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekends and holidays are required. No call requirements.
