Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have scrub experience and be comfortable scrubbing for procedures.
- 1 year critical care experience and 2 years cath lab experience; may screen strong candidates with the required skill sets if less experience.
- Unit does not accept first-time travelers.
- Work settings: Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Required procedures/skills: Cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations adult, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, left heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), right heart catheterization, Rotablader athrectomy, temporary pacemaker, ventricular assist device insertion, accurate monitoring, equipment set up, EKG lead placement, prep access site, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulator, maintain sterile field while scrubbing, vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), isolation precautions, patient recovery, defibrillation, starting and maintaining IVs, sheath removal/monitoring, obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG, cardioversion.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Special Procedures.
- Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), pulmonary artery (PA) line insertion, transcatheter aortic valve implantation/replacement (TAVI/TAVR), Watchman, use of Rapid Response team.
- Medication system: Pyxis.
- Documentation system: Epic, McKesson.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Call required: typically 6 evenings and 1 weekend per 6 weeks; STEMI call 9-11 shifts per 6-week schedule, with 3 weekend on-call shifts included.
- Weekend shifts per contract: typically 1 weekend per 6 weeks on standby.
- Must respond within 30 minutes of callback.
Floating Requirements:
- Float to Cath Lab/EP at Iss campus.
Special Requests:
- RTO must be listed at time of submission.
- All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
- References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
- Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
- If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.

Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
