Special Requests:
- An interview may not be available prior to offer.
- Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
- At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
- Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
- This is a very high-acuity, fast-paced unit. Must be flexible. Assignments can change anytime during the shift.
- Unit sees TAVR, Impella, IABP, recovering fresh hearts immediate from the OR, lumbar drains, Swanz, STEMI, AAA, hypothermia, sepsis, and other medical-surgical ICU patients with a stronger focus on cardiovascular and cardiothoracic patients. No CRRT.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have experience recovering fresh hearts directly from the OR within past 6 months.
- Must have general medical and surgical ICU experience in addition to CVICU experience for this unit.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Manual hemodynamic experience preferred.
Required Credentials:
- RN jobs in the following units: Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, ED/ER, Endoscopy, any ICU/critical care, IR, LTAC ICU, Med-Surg/Tele, Tele, PACU, Stepdown/PCU are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend; however, it could be more based on the needs of the unit, though this would be rare.
- 2 out of 3 major winter holidays; other holidays as needed and would fall into permanent staff rotation.
- This unit does not do self-scheduling. Time off requests need to be requested prior to the contract. Requests made after the assignment has started will need manager approval. Block scheduling is not guaranteed, but if it works with the schedule they will allow it.
Floating Requirements:
- First to float. Only floating would be to the other ICUs or to ER for inpatient ICU holds. Could be floated to another ICU anytime during the shift.
