Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Must have MS and oncology experience in checklist (1 year minimum). Must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years. However, must have at least 1 year of CURRENT specialty experience for a clinical pass. Skills: IV Therapy/ Infusions, Work Settings, Inpatient oncology, Professional Knowledge and Skills, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Care of Patient With, Chemotherapy
Preferred Skills/Experience: Heme Onc experience is strongly preferred. Skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, Administration of blood & blood products, Care and management of ports, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, BMT, Leukemia/Blood Dyscrasias, Lymphoma/Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Recognize/ communicate abnormal lab values
Special Requests: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Can not apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any of the Ohio State University facilities.
Shift & Scheduling: If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time. Weekend shifts are variable based on unit needs.
Floating Requirements: Float to other MedSurg Oncology units.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
