    Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team

    You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

    Required Skills/Experience: Professional Knowledge and Skills, Image guidance, Special Populations, Neonatal/ Pediatric patient, Vascular Access Devices, Implanted vascular access devices (ports), Insertion procedures and supplies, Peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC), Site and vessel selection/evaluation, Vascular Access Device Management, Insertion, Patency assessment, Site assessment, Ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access, Vascular access troubleshooting, Work Settings, Vascular access

    Required Credentials: Drivers License/State ID

    Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost: Day passes are offered for off-site parking at discounted rate and provide shuttle service. Onsite parking for evenings is also at discounted rate. Night shift, parking is free.

    Shift & Scheduling:

    • Day/Night rotation. Start times: 7am, 11am, 7pm Shift Length: 12.

    • Rotate between: • 7 AM-7:30 PM • 11AM -11:30 PM • 3 PM-3:30 AM.

    Vascular Access Travel Nurse Job Responsibilities and Salary

    Vascular Access nurse job responsibilities include assessing patients to determine the type of vascular access needed, reviewing medications, and troubleshooting and managing existing vascular access, such as dressing changes of PICCs. Vascular Access nurses undergo additional training for PICC line insertion that uses ultrasound equipment. Nurses must perform a minimum of 25 supervised insertions before applying for basic PICC certification. Vascular Access nurses are Registered Nurses and many obtain certification in the Vascular Access specialty. The annual salary in the United States for Vascular Access nurses is around $94,000.
