You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required skills/experience: Well baby care required. IV therapy, Central line blood draw, Starting and maintaining IVs, UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter), Medications/Emergency Medications, Antibiotics/Antivirals, Neonatal Dosage Calculations, Surfactants, Professional Topic and Skills, APGAR scoring, Developmental Care, Patient/family teaching, Phlebotomy, Thermoregulation, Neurologic, Assist with lumbar puncture, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket), Work Settings, Attend High Risk Deliveries, Community hospital, Level 1 Nursery, NICU II, Endocrine/Metabolic, Blood glucose monitoring, Hyperbilirubinemia, Phototherapy, Gastrointestinal, Breastfeeding Support/Handling of Breast Milk, Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), Placement/Management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes, Respiratory, Bubble CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Meconium Aspiration, Respiratory distress syndrome, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Vapotherm, Infectious Disease, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Sepsis Work Up, Patient Types, Neonates > 34 weeks
Preferred skills/experience: Level II or III experience ideal. Administration of blood & blood products, NICU III, Gastroschisis/Omphalocele, Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC), Management of Chest Tubes, Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), Neonatal Sepsis, Neonates 29-34 weeks.
Required credentials: Labs: Clinicians must be available to complete needed lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer or have a plan in place for completion in that timeframe.
Shift & schedule requirements: 5/18 start preferred. May consider 6/15, but no other RN orientation dates available. Every other weekend.
