Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- 2 years of pediatric cardiac stepdown experience required.
- Hard stop requirement: 2 years of experience in a pediatric hospital.
- Clinical focus includes caring for patients with cardiac defects, both medical and surgical, including heart and lung transplant patients.
- Experience with tracheostomy/ventilator patients, high-flow nasal cannula, post-op cardiac catheterizations, post-op after CTICU, and inotropes.
- Administration of blood and blood products, antiarrhythmics, BiPAP/CPAP management and maintenance, care of ventilated patients, central line blood draw and line care, management of chest tubes, management of gastric tubes, NG tube insertion and management, pediatric dosage calculations, post-cardiac catheterization care, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), TPN/lipids, and tracheostomy care.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, and ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD) experience preferred.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements:
- Float within the MS cluster.
Special Requests:
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
