Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Neurological, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, ICP monitoring, IV starts, Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Medications and ventilator management.
Required Credentials:
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Must be flexible with weekend requirements. Travelers must be able to work 50% of the weekends in their contract.
Floating Requirements:
- May float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) at University and Methodist Hospitals; resources provided if needed.
Special Requests:
- References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
- Must be willing to precept and/or be assigned students to shadow while on assignment.
- IU Health will not allow IN RNs to work at their facilities. Exceptions include: Periop/OR RNs, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.
Unit/Facility Details:
- NCC is a neuro critical care unit, will also care for medical, surgical and trauma ICU patients.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
