Required Skills/Experience:

• Neurological, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, ICP monitoring, IV starts, Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Medications and ventilator management.

Required Credentials:

• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Must be flexible with weekend requirements. Travelers must be able to work 50% of the weekends in their contract.

Floating Requirements:

• May float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) at University and Methodist Hospitals; resources provided if needed.

Special Requests:

• References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
• You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
• Must be willing to precept and/or be assigned students to shadow while on assignment.
• IU Health will not allow IN RNs to work at their facilities. Exceptions include: Periop/OR RNs, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.

Unit/Facility Details:

• NCC is a neuro critical care unit, will also care for medical, surgical and trauma ICU patients.
