Additional Details:
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 3+ years of experience required.
- C-section experience required.
- Must be proficient in fetal monitoring and the actions taken for fetal distress.
- Must be able to care for patients with pre-eclampsia.
- Clinical background in high-risk patients; nurses must be able to handle OB emergencies until the provider arrives.
- Must be able to function in L&D and couplet care (they don't always utilize their LDRPs as couplet care beds, but can do so if census is low).
Unit Details:
- Uses Allscripts.
- OB/neonatologist not in house.
Shift & Scheduling:
- 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule minimum; weekend distribution is flexible as long as coverage is met.
- On-call: one shift per 4-week schedule.
Floating Requirements:
- May float to ED or MedSurg if experienced.
