References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Strong IV skills required.
- C-section experience required; circulate required.
Unit Details:
- Ratios: couplet 1:3, laboring 1:1.
- Uses OBIX fetal monitoring system and GE telemetry.
- Cares for patients 32 weeks and above; otherwise transfer out. No VBAC. Manages mag sulfate and insulin patients.
- Mothers labor and deliver in one bed. There is no nursery; newborns stay in bassinets in their mothers' rooms, and babies do not leave their mothers' sides. Skin-to-skin care is emphasized.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every 3rd weekend, potentially every other depending on need.
- One major and one minor holiday.
- Up to 2 additional mandatory shifts per 6 weeks.
Floating Requirements:
- First to float to NICU for feeders and growers only.
