Required Skills/Experience:

• Strong IV skills required.
• C-section experience required; circulate required.

Unit Details:

• Ratios: couplet 1:3, laboring 1:1.
• Uses OBIX fetal monitoring system and GE telemetry.
• Cares for patients 32 weeks and above; otherwise transfer out. No VBAC. Manages mag sulfate and insulin patients.
• Mothers labor and deliver in one bed. There is no nursery; newborns stay in bassinets in their mothers' rooms, and babies do not leave their mothers' sides. Skin-to-skin care is emphasized.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every 3rd weekend, potentially every other depending on need.
• One major and one minor holiday.
• Up to 2 additional mandatory shifts per 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements:

• First to float to NICU for feeders and growers only.
