Preferred Credentials:

• BSN preferred.

Unit Details:

• Cares for orthopedic and medical-surgical patients.
• Patient education includes wound care, proper mobility, self-care, medication management, and care transition needs.
• Sets up orthopedic traction and manipulates surgical traction devices for mobility and wound care.
• Manages wound vacs, drains, pouches, and other urological devices.

Shift & Scheduling:

• 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.
• Rotating holidays.
• On-call: none.

Floating Requirements:

• Float to similar units.
• Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital.
• The Carle leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
