Did you know June is Pride Month? It's that special time of the year dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ+ communities across the globe. In our world of healthcare, it's the perfect moment to step up our game in promoting inclusivity and diversity. 

We know that the LGBTQ+ community often faces unique health challenges, so it's super important for clinicians to create a welcoming environment that champions their rights and well-being. Let's explore five practical ways we can make this Pride Month meaningful and foster a culture of inclusivity that lasts all year round.

1. Kickoff with Knowledge: Educational Lunch-and-Learns

A great starting point is education. Hosting educational lunch-and-learns at your facility can boost understanding of LGBTQ+ health disparities and the importance of diversity. These sessions provide a safe space for discussing the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ patients and healthcare workers.
