Nurse insight has always been a big part of how we operate here at Trusted. We have full teams of nurses that work with you every step of the way, from your job search, all the way through your assignment (Nurse Advocates). What you may not know is that there are many more nurses here at Trusted that are hiding behind the scenes while they work tirelessly to bring a clinician’s perspective to roundtable discussions. These nurses use their clinical experience to advocate for you and influence decisions that aim to improve your experience even when you don’t see it. Here at Trusted, we have nurses working on and with teams such as Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Product, Finance and more.

Paige S (Marketing)

Pediatrics, COVID Response

Why Trusted? I traveled with Trusted so I was able to see the Trusted difference as a nurse and wanted to be a part of contributing that to other nurses!

What is your current role & why? I started as a Clinical Success Partner and had the opportunity to transition to the Marketing division on the Brand team! I have an artsy/creative side and saw opportunities to create more synergy between how we function as a nurse-first organization and the way we market our company to nurses.

What do you miss/not miss about bedside nursing? Miss: the human interaction and deep connection with patients and their families. Do not miss: working long days, holidays, and weekends.

Please share a fun/weird/cool/interesting fact about yourself :) I've been to 48 of the US states!

Britt G (Marketing)

PICU & CVPICU

Why Trusted? I wanted to be a part of a movement of clinicians helping clinicians find success and happiness in their careers.

What is your current role & why? Community Manager - I've always had a passion for helping nurses find resources, build their network, and provide empathetic support during their journey and this role aligns perfectly with those values.

What do you miss/not miss about bedside nursing? Miss: hugging and loving on my little humans. Do not miss:  never experience working in the COVID ICU again 💔

Please share a fun/weird/cool/interesting fact about yourself :) I've been on 6 medical missions (Haiti x 3, Russia, Guinea, & Johannesburg)

Annie G (Compliance)

Allergy, Asthma & Immunology

Why Trusted? I wanted to continue to help patients everywhere get care and the culture at Trusted!

What is your current role & why? Ongoing Compliance Manager

What do you miss/not miss about bedside nursing? Miss: the patient interaction. Do not miss: overnight shifts!

Please share a fun/weird/cool/interesting fact about yourself :) My sister, who is also a nurse, works for Trusted too!

Emma P (Technical Operations Program Manager)

ICU & PCU

Why Trusted? I wanted to be the resource that I needed, when I was a traveler, for others!

What is your current role & why? I am a tech ops program manager- I love building efficient processes!

What do you miss/not miss about bedside nursing? Miss: the night shift friendships. Do not miss: the middle of the night calls to doctors who are at home sleeping.

Please share a fun/weird/cool/interesting fact about yourself :) I have a tattoo of an asparagus in honor of my favorite novel “So Big” by Edna Ferber

Lisa K (NA Manager)

ICU, ED, but MedSurg has my heart (that's right I said it)

Why Trusted? There are dozens of reasons I chose to work with Trusted but what stuck out to me was that they offered tons of resources for new grad nurses. Even though these nurses can't travel with us without experience, the fact that Trusted was so deeply committed to investing in future nurses and adding value to healthcare as a whole sold me from the start.

What is your current role & why? I am one of the managers for the Nurse Advocate team! I have a lot of experience leading teams of nurses caring for patients and when the opportunity to lead nurses taking care of other nurses came up I was instantly hooked!

What do you miss/not miss about bedside nursing? Miss: the patients most of all; they taught me about who I was and could become as a nurse. Every patient has a life lesson to leave you with if you pay close enough attention. Do not miss: dry flaky foot skin that when the sock comes off it looks like it's snowing.

Please share a fun/weird/cool/interesting fact about yourself :) I have owned a restaurant for 7 years, committed to bringing healthy options, education, and resources to my community.

Holly W (NA Manager)

Mother / Baby

Why Trusted? I wanted growth in my career but to continue to work with nurses in healthcare and felt like where I was currently within leadership at the bedside, I was stagnant. Working for Trusted has helped me grow exponentially in operations, leadership, and many other skills I never would have had the chance to experience if not for joining Trusted!

What is your current role & why? I am currently a Nurse Advocate Manager here at Trusted. I wanted growth in my career and to take on a different opportunity in healthcare while learning new skills. (Enter Trusted!)

What do you miss/not miss about bedside nursing? Miss: the conversations with patients and hearing about their experiences (the nice ones of course!). Do not miss: code greys!

Please share a fun/weird/cool/interesting fact about yourself :) I love to sing but not in front of people!

Catherine S (NASA Manager)

Med Surg / Tele

Why Trusted? I wanted to be a part of creating a world / career-space that truly puts nurses, their safety, autonomy and well-being first!

What is your current role & why? I manage some of our backend teams that help nurses get submitted to the Matches they apply for! As a former travel nurse, when I found Trusted I thought, "this is exactly what I wish I would have had when I was traveling." The transparency, no recruiter who just tells me what I want to hear, and ability to "drive" my own job search! I knew I wanted to transition out of bedside and have the chance to develop other strengths, but was finding it hard to feel as fulfilled and motivated by working for just another profit-minded "business." After finding Trusted, it was a no-brainer. I get to still take care of people, specifically NURSES, and it also checks all the other boxes?! Sign me up!

What do you miss/not miss about bedside nursing? Miss: the people + their stories. Working remotely can be awesome -- but I loved getting to experience the revolving door of humanity that you get as a bedside nurse. It makes you resilient, and so much more understanding of where people might be coming from. It's also really powerful to be able to witness the immediate impact of your care and work -- to see how it can make a tangible difference during what is often the worst period of someone's life. Do not miss: anything that included / touched / related to bodily fluids (or solids). And unassisted turns -- my back hurts at just the memory (yes I know that's a basic NO of nursing but it happens).

Please share a fun/weird/cool/interesting fact about yourself :) I'm featured in a song on Spotify as a vocalist / co-writer!

Jana O (ClinOps)

Quality & Patient Safety, ICU

Why Trusted? I was inspired to make healthcare staffing safer by leveraging technology

What is your current role & why? Director of Clinical Operations & Quality Assurance

What do you miss/not miss about bedside nursing? Miss: genuine connection with patients and families, and being able to provide support to them through difficult times.

Please share a fun/weird/cool/interesting fact about yourself :) I am a third generation nurse! Following in the footsteps of my grandma and mom

Sarah G (Works)

Pediatric Acute & Transitional Care

Why Trusted? I'm passionate about fundamentally changing the way nurses work and manage their careers and how they're perceived as professionals. I knew having an impact on that would require joining forces with tech folk and healthcare entrepreneurs.

What is your current role & why? Founding Clinician, Works Strategy & Operations. In my roles, I always optimize for impact and learning!

What do you miss/not miss about bedside nursing? Miss: the urgency and importance of nearly everything I did. I thrive on urgency and when coupled with the impact my effort had on kiddos and their families, clinical life was really gratifying. Do not miss: the 12 hour shifts and long days or stretches where I felt I had to deprioritize/put on hold my personal life.

Please share a fun/weird/cool/interesting fact about yourself :) I was a child model!

Kevin U (Works)

Emergency department / PICU / EMS

Why Trusted? At the bedside, you have the opportunity to impact a handful of patients and their lives on a single shift. I wanted the opportunity to impact a broader swath of patients and health technology is a wonderful way to do that.

What is your current role & why? Business Operations for Trusted’s Works platform. After my nursing degree I continued my formal education in business and pivoted to the Works team after spending some time in the Marketplace. The opportunity to work on a fast growing and constantly evolving product is exciting and made the decision for me!

What do you miss/not miss about bedside nursing? Miss: the heart pumping adrenaline and funny stories that come with working in the ER/EMS. I’d imagine few things in life come close to the excitement that comes with the events and decisions where lives hang in the balance. Do not miss: bed bugs. Ever.

Please share a fun/weird/cool/interesting fact about yourself :) My fastest running mile time is 4:53. (Don’t ask me to do that now)

Dani B (Works)

Respiratory- Cardiology Step Down RN, RN Manager, System Director of Workforce Operations, System VP of Nursing Workforce Development

Why Trusted? I've spent the past 10 years managing nursing workforce with extreme challenges pertaining to staffing and scheduling. The challenge sparked an interest in predictive nurse scheduling and I spent my doctoral journey evaluating all the literature related predictive nurse scheduling and staffing models and technology. Subsequently, I built my own predictive nurse scheduling model with an economist and implemented it into practice in 2017 with successful outcomes. From 2015 to 2022, I have helped three large health systems implement staffing and scheduling technology, new models of practice, and flexible float pools, PRN programs and internal travel agency. I was always looking for technology that would help automate the work, enable intelligence and significantly reduce the workload of the front-manager. When I saw Works, I knew I had found what I was looking for all these years during my research and practice journey. The Works technology is truly revolutionary and will change practice for the better.

What is your current role & why? VP of Clinical Strategy & Transformation. This is not a new career path for me and aligns with my workforce research, practice journey, and allows me to continue to work with the best health systems in the country to innovate and change practice.

What do you miss/not miss about bedside nursing? Miss: caring for patients and being able to advocate for the truly vulnerable. Do not miss: seeing naked bodies on a daily basis

Please share a fun/weird/cool/interesting fact about yourself :) I got denied the first time I applied to nursing school and spent a year working at Quiznos

Casady B (CX)

Pediatrics

Why Trusted? I joined Trusted because they had a clear mission that aligned with my own values. At the time I aspired to enter the nursing profession and knew that the work that Trusted was doing would have a direct impact.

What is your current role & why? I currently lead enablement within our career service teams.

What do you miss/not miss about bedside nursing? Miss: Charting! It's really neat to see how we can manage and document a nurses' job search and experience while working on assignment automatically through the tools we have set in place.

Please share a fun/weird/cool/interesting fact about yourself :) I have traveled to more than 30 countries!
