Trusted Meetup: Chocolate Making & Wine Tasting in San Francisco
Come learn how to make chocolate and enjoy a wine tasting with your fellow nurses!
San Francisco Nurses - Trusted Health is hosting a free chocolate making class and wine tasting at Workshop SF on March 25th at 8pm. In this hands-on class, chocolate maker, winemaker, and fermentation specialist Sean Taylor will teach you the processes required to produce organic, single origin dark chocolate straight from cacao beans!
Following ancient chocolate making techniques, while utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, you will design your own dark chocolate bars using cacao, sea salt, coffee nibs, spices (ginger, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and coconut will all be available), and other organic flavors. Along the way, Sean will dive into the science of chocolate, the art of chocolate making, and the cultural impact of the Cacao Plant from 2000 B.C. to now.
You will have a chance to taste several different samples of chocolate, and you will receive a lesson on how to select and buy chocolate from a taste, health, environmental, and social perspective. Each student will leave with two dark chocolate bars! In addition, we will be pouring local wines and having a blind tasting to see what flavors your pallet can discover.
These events are such a fun way to unwind from the stresses of the hospital and a great way to meet your fellow nurses. Why? We're on a mission to build a community for Modern Nurses. And because nurses are awesome - the more the merrier! Tell your friends and co-workers (nurses only please) & be sure to RSVP! There will be limited space for this event. For the skeptics-there is no catch for attending these events. We simply want to give back to the people that take care of us. Thank you for all you do and we hope to see you there!
