Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from last 12 months.

3 months of experience with Meditech is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

ACLS (Preferred)

Additional Details:

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hrs.

All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy.

Floating policy: As needed.

Proactive—patients should not be calling on the call light for anticipatable.

Nurse assesses for all PRN medications at least 15 minutes before med is available to be given next.

IV fluids are changed out BEFORE the IV beeps.

Minimum 2-3 years of Medical-Surgical/Tele Unit.

Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket.

Dress code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

Weekend – Rotating

Call Requirements: No

Must have at least 9 months of same unit experience in the past 12 months, no exceptions.
