36-hour guarantees only (no 48s) – can pick up additional shifts
Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
Travel pairs cannot request the same schedule

Required Certifications: AWOHNN-Intermediate or Advanced.
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: 28 weeks and above, lot of HTN, 7-10% no prenatal care, high Spanish speaking, tele monitoring. Spanish speaking would be great.
Experience: Must be able to do a vaginal exam (if come from teaching facility-they have less skill since medical students/residents do these). Scalp electrodes, circulate a C-section, Newborn transitions, assist anesthesiology, IV starts, Blood draws, APGARS assignments-must know, Postpartum hemorrhage control- SIM lab coming-fall 2023, Epidurals, Amnio infusion. Water birth-not a must have, just for knowledge.
Preferred: Experience with spinning babies.
Weekend Requirements: 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. Noc: Fri/Sat. Day: Sat/Sun.
Holiday Requirements: Typically, 2/3 holidays, includes eve/day of. Will be On-Call-as much as you like, not mandatory. Please note in interview notes traveler agrees to holiday requirements (will be assigned 2 out of 3 holidays within contract, holidays are considered the eve/day of).
Call or standby requirement: Low Census on Call.
Floating Requirements: NICU/Peds/Women's as well as MedSurg or ICU with appropriate patient assignment- downgraded, or RDU. L&D nurses may be assigned antepartum patients.
They have to be able to take care of baby for two hours after delivery. If they do not have post-partum experience, they won’t be sent there but they have to be prepared that they will take care of antepartum patients.
Scrub Color: Provided hospital scrubs.
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: One NEO, one clinical ed/EPIC, one day floor.
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
