Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Additional Details:

This is a Nurse Shift Manager position. Traveler must have strong Charge RN experience, or management experience. Nurse Shift Managers (NSMs) will take patients and provide direct patient care when necessary. While the Charge Nurse is typically the first to take on patient assignments, NSMs will also fulfill the Charge Nurse role and manage the department. They are expected to assist with patient care as needed, including triaging ambulance patients, starting IVs, and administering medications, etc. Essentially, NSMs will provide support wherever it is required within the department."

Required Credentials: References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Unit and facility details: Ratios 1 to 4 unless ICU patient would be 1 to 2.

Shift & Scheduling:

• 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule (Weekends are Fri/Sat for nights) and 1 major & 1 minor Holidays.
• Call - if put on stand by/call, traveler must report within 30 mins.

Floating Requirements: Floating could happen between the 2 facilities to the ER. If floated prior to shift, would get a 2 hour notice prior start. Mid-shift floating could happen. The facilities are only 6.5 miles apart.
