Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the past 3 years.

Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Illinois license

Shift & Scheduling:

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. Nightshift weekend is Fri/Sat.
Holidays are required unless discussed and approved during interview phase.

Floating Requirements: RNs can float within the children's hospital - to other pediatric units, can float to mom/baby to take care of a baby assignment. No ICUs unless experienced, no chemo patients.

We share our unit with Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. We occupy 22 beds on the unit and Peds Hem/Onc occupies 10 beds. We have the ability to expand/swing into each units beds depending on census.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
