Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 10 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience.
12 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required from any number of months
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license

Additional Details:

Previous Employment Requirements: Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Scrub experience.
  • Requires 5 years overall OR experience with 2 years dedicated cardiac and vascular - HARDSTOP
  • Skills: General OR, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Vascular

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Types of Patients on Unit:

  • Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
  • Patient Diagnoses: The Ross heart Hospital focuses on those needing heart and vascular care/surgery and interventions. Common open cases include: CABG, Valves, AAA, Ascending and descending dissection's, amputations, fistulas, first ribs and ecmo. Common endovascular cases: TVAR, EVAR, TAVR, fistulograms, angiograms, aortograms, radiofrequency ablations etc. Plus others.

Unit/Facility Details: 7 unit beds.

Special Requests: RTO required with submission, must be built into contract.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • It will be anywhere from 630am to 11pm with call. Hours will be filled in wherever the need is for the schedule.
  • 2X8 shifts: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 2X12 shifts: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
