Requirements
Experience
18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Emergency Department experience.
Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Illinois license

Required Skills/Experience: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi experience required

Abdominal pain, Asthma, Head injury, Identifying and reporting abuse, Infections, Poison ingestion, Respiratory infections, Seizures, Skin Disorders, Urinary tract infections, Acute psychosis, Drug overdose, Managing violent behavior, Suicidal patient, Blood Product Administration, Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs, Chest tube insertion/management, Intubation, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, IV vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Isolation Precautions, Triage, Manage/apply splints.

Teaching Hospital Experience

Burns, Epiglottitis, Hyperglycemia, Mental/behavioral health conditions, Near drowning, Sickle cell crisis, Spinal cord injury, Urinary tract infections, Psychiatric Hold, Arterial line management, Central line care/management, CPAP/BiPAP, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Ventilated patients, Continuous IV paralytics, ICP monitoring, Neuro-Trauma, Level I Trauma Center, Level II Trauma Center, Pediatric Emergency Department, STEMI Certified Facility, Stroke Certified Facility, Gunshot wounds, Traumatic amputation, Ortho trauma.

Required Credentials: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
