Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

36 months of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a California license

Vaccinations

Additional Details:

Common diagnoses/Types of patients premature- sepsis, surgical- gastroschisis, evas, vented rarely- nasal cpap, rare oscillatory

Must have experience with the drips below, and have experience in a level 3 NICU

RNs required to titrate drips: dopamine, dobutamine, versed, fentanyl

RN to monitor the patients, open bay area with monitors

Weekend Requirements Every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday

Holiday Requirements Yes, 1 major and 1 Minor

Floating Requirements First to float, to the Nursery and pediatrics (sister unit)

Unit/Departments specific orientation 1 day on the unit with a preceptor, and 6 hours in the nursery and 6 hours on pediatrics
