Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs

Oncology: None listed as required

Respiratory: Chest tubes – Emerson/PleurEvac, External CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Nasal Cannula, Tracheostomy care/management

Gastrointestinal: Feeding tube care and management

Medications: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips – no titration, PCA, Titrate Cardiac drips

Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Telemetry – on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams

Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions

Work Settings: PCU, DOU, IMC, Stepdown, Telemetry

Additional Skills: High Acuity PCU

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Special Requests: Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more

Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
