Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 24 months of Emergency Department experience within the past 8 months.

BSN completion preferred

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Additional Details:

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Within past 8 mo, candidate must have worked in an ED setting that has at least 125/day

• Requires expert prioritization and organizational skills to manage a fast ER pace.

• IV therapy/Phlebotomy, CPAP/BiPAP, Ventilated patients, General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions, Triage, Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Charge experience is preferred, candidates will be required to orient and work charge.

• Community Hospital Experience

Required Credentials: Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.

Unit/Facility Details:

• Drivers License/State ID: A valid driver's license will be required if driving on behalf of MedStar Health is an essential function of the job.

• May come into contact with Covid Patients.

• References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend
