Required skills and experience: RN will need experience with high acuity patients. 2 years Cardiac open heart recovery experience. Strong Surgical IMC experience. ICU experience required for management of High Acuity IMC patients. RNs with experience taking care of patients who are 1+ days out from CABG, Valve repairs and Valve replacements, very heavy Cardiovascular Post-op step down.

Preferred credentials: Critical Care Certification

Unit and facility details: CVPCU is a fast-paced surgical step-down unit made up of a multidisciplinary team who primarily cares for patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries. The CVPCU (Zayed 10W) is a 32-bed surgery unit providing care for patients who are post-op cardiac, vascular, and thoracic. They have 12 IMC- Continuous cardiac monitoring; the rest are telemetry level (Intermittent) and floor level (non-monitored).
