Additional Details:
Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
LPNs only: Must have previously worked on at least (1) a travel assignment with Trusted and have a reference from that assignment
Roles requiring a state licensure only: Cannot have any licensure hits
MedSurg/Tele Float Pool - Required
Guaranteed Hours: 36
The most frequent units they will float to are 6N (36 beds) & 7N (29 beds). Other units: 4N (36 beds), 5S (36 beds), 6S (36 beds), & Critical Care (20 beds)
Patient Ratio: Once or twice a month could have 7 patients toward the end of the shift. Depends on acuity of patients.
Patient Types / Common Diagnosis: CHF, Cardiac cath, CP, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, Ortho, & Oncology (perm staff will administer chemo)
All travelers must take & pass a cardiac rhythm exam.
Will not have to titrate drips.
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend - Sat/Sun for both Days/Nights
Holiday Requirement: Work in the holiday rotation schedule with perm staff
RN's could float to all 6 units but will most likely be assigned a 'parent unit' & will only be assigned very basic telemetry patients, within their scope of practice.
They must be able to read & interpret strips but will not have to titrate drips.
