Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience with 6 months within the past 4 years.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license

Vaccinations

COVID vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 2+ years recent dedicated Cardiac ICU/CCU/CVICU experience, must have ECMO experience

Must have worked in a dedicated Cardiac ICU

Must also have strong experience on all advanced therapy modalities.

Must be able to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: VV/VA ECMO, IABP (Intra Aortic Balloon Pumps), TTM/Arctic Sun, Impella, CRRT, PA Catheter Guided Therapy

Common Types of Patients/Diagnosis: Cardiogenic Shock, STEMI, Cardiac arrest, Advanced HF Management, Cardiac Arrhythmia, Lysis, Post IR/PCI Procedures, & TEVAR.

Unit/Facility Details: Number of Beds: 24

Ratios: 1/1-2, Step Down - 1/3

Shift & Scheduling: D/N Rotate

Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Holiday Expectations: 1 major, 1 minor

Floating Requirements: Float to other IFMC ICUs including Stepdown/Progressive Care/IMC/Tele Units.

All time off must be included on submission to be considered. Time off not included on submission will not be requested or approved.
