Skills: IV therapy Arterial line management Central line care/management PICC line management Starting and maintaining IVs Respiratory/Thoracic Assist with management of BiPAP Assist with management of CPAP Care of Ventilated Patient High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Suctioning (ETT, NT) Ventilator Management Medications Continuous IV sedation Titrate Cardiac drips Titrate Vasoactive drips Neurological CVA/Acute Stroke management ICP monitoring Professional Topics and Skills Infection Prevention Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Interpretation of dysrhythmias Management of dysrhythmias Endocrine/Metabolic Heparin Drip Management.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience. Skills: Blood Product Administration* Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)* Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring* External ventricular drain (EVD)* Post Neurosurgery management* Spinal cord injury* Traumatic Brain injury* Phlebotomy* IV insulin protocols* Neuro Intensive Care Unit* Surgical Intensive Care Unit*.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Craniotomy, Tumor resection, Drain placement, Complicated cervical spine Fraction, shunt placement, overflow unit for Level I trauma. EVD placement, ICP monitoring, Comprehensive Stroke Center, Seizure and Epilepsy Certified Center, Post-thrombolytic (TNK), Post-DSA (angio likely post thrombectomy or stent).

Types of Patients on Unit: Adults.

Unit/Facility Details: Number of Beds: 17.

Special Requests: RTO must be included at time of submittal or will not be approved- No exceptions.

Shift & Scheduling: 50% of holidays and weekends on contract is required. Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Float to ICU and Med Surg.
