Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

PALS (Required)

Driver's license required

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Skills checklist (must have been completed within 1 year of submission date)

Unit/Facility Details: 12-bed

Special Requests: Limit of 1 day request off between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.

Shift & Scheduling: Every 3rd weekend/holiday rotation if scheduled

Floating Requirements: May float to NICU - must be willing to float

May also float to ED patient holds

When we float them to the NICU, RN would basically get what we call our “ feeders and growers”. RN might get a baby on oxygen or antibiotics, but they wont give them the sickest tiniest babies.
