Required Skills/Experience: Community Hospital Experience. IV therapy/Phlebotomy including Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs; Work Settings including Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown; Care of Ventilated Patient including Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration; Neurological/Psychiatric care including CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury; Gastrointestinal care including Feeding tube care and management; Medications including Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring; Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response including Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams; Professional Topics and Skills including Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac; Endocrine/Metabolic care including IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips; Orthopedics including Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements; Genitourinary/Renal care including Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure; Plastics including Surgical drains.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Trauma Level II Experience. Care of Ventilated Patient (general); Tracheostomy care/management.
Unit/Facility Details: Number of Beds: 24. MUST be willing and available to complete necessary lab work within 48-72 hours of signing contract.
Floating Requirements: Float may be required between both hospitals. Call may be required. Weekends may be required.
Special Requests: Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request.
Shift & Scheduling: Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: as many as needed.
