Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

ADN completion required

Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Post Surgical Care Unit - Required

Shift & Scheduling: Day/Night variables. 7a-7p/7p-7a.

Float Requirements: To all inpatient units; would be given appropriate patient assignments - Intermediate Care, MS/Tele, ICU

Required Skills / Experience: Must have recent hospital experience

Required Credentials: AACN

Preferred Credentials: Bachelor's Degree

Patient Population: Provides care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients

Patient Ratio: Day - 1/4-5, Night - 1/5-7

Equipment Used on Unit: Rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps

Unit Details: Post Surgical Care Unit post recovery after PACU

40 bed inpatient area

Fast paced post-surgical unit that averages 10-15 admissions per day with the highest occurring on Day/PM.

Occupancy of unit is90-95 % during the week with average length of stay 2 – 3 days (except joints)
