Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

12 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

Experience with Paragon is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a California license

Shift Notes: 36 or 48 hours.

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend

Number of beds: 13 labor beds, 3 OR suites (5 total), 6 bed triage, 4 bed recovery, 4 bed PACU.

Ratios: 1:2, 1:3 antepartum.

Scrub color: Royal blue (scrubs provided) or Ciel blue.

Common diagnoses: Laboring, hypertensive disorders, diabetes, complications by fetal abnormalities, high risk pregnancies

Specialty equipment: Blood warmers, rapid infusers, bear huggers

Float requirements: Can float but not mandatory to M&B

Savvy newborn care postpartum needed - must have strong immediate care after delivery!

Be familiar with maternal/fetal triage index

4-5 years of experience ideally.

RTO: 7 days or less
