Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend req: Two weekends per pay period
• Is on-call req: No

Special Requests:

• Open to accommodating block schedule: No
• Holidays: traveler must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year

Parking Cost: Free parking on first day, assignment parking to be given during orientation

Types of Patients on Unit:

• Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics

Orientation Hours: 24

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:

• Patient Diagnoses: Clinician must have current work references and must have current work experience. A hardstop requirement. Redirect any clinician if they have not worked in the discipline in the last 6 months.

Patient ratios: PCU is 1:4, and med-surg is 1:5

Previous Employment Requirements:

• Return Staff Policy: 3 months to return as traveler

Floating Requirements: Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.*****

Housing: Please have your traveler look into housing options in the area, as options may be limited

Required Credentials:

• Cert: BLS - Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation only
